Helping Doctors Understand the Needs of Patients with Intellectual Disabilities
While in medical school, primary care providers get virtually no exposure or training in working with patients with developmental disabilities. Surrey Place developed practical tools and guidelines that would help doctors better understand and treat patients needs.
I worked in collaboration with the clinical and research teams as well as a group of doctors across Ontario to design and develop layouts for guidelines, and user interface design for tools and the online portal.
